On December 18, 2025, President Trump signed the 2026 National Defense Authorization Act, which includes the Holding Foreign Insiders Accountable Act (the HFIAA), expanding the scope of beneficial ownership reporting obligations to the directors and officers of foreign private issuers (FPIs), effective on March 18, 2026.
